By accepting and making payment with Bake-Em, you are accepting the terms & conditions below.
1. Allergies and Intolerances:
I do not cater for allergies or intolerances of any sort. Customers are responsible for confirming any allergies with me when placing an order. Any allergies or intolerances will result in the order not going ahead.
All products are made in a kitchen that handles all allergens. So cannot guarantee “free from” bakes and so will all contain traces of. Please bare this in mind when placing an enquiry with me.
2. Deposit Requirement for Orders Over £50:
All orders exceeding £50 will require a non-refundable deposit of 25% to be paid upon ordering. Failure to pay the deposit within the specified timeframe will result in the order not being secured for the date requested. It is your responsibility to check with Bake-Em If your order date can still be booked in if you are late paying.
3. Full Payment for Orders Under £50:
Orders under £50 must be paid in full upon ordering. Failure to make the full payment at the time of ordering will result in the order not being secured for the date requested.
4. Delivery or Collection:
Upon placing an order, please clearly specify whether you require delivery, or if you will be collecting the order yourself. Delivery is subject to availability and very limited, so is best to enquire for this in advance.
5. Delivery Charges:
For orders that require delivery, a delivery charge will apply.
The delivery charge will be calculated and included in your order quote.
6. Address Details for Delivery:
If you opt for delivery, I will need your full address details to ensure a successful and timely delivery. Please provide accurate and complete address information when placing your order, as well as a time frame you require it to be delivered in.
7. Final Payment Due Date:
The full balance for all orders is due at least 7 days prior to the scheduled collection/delivery date. When making bank transfers, please use the provided invoice number as a reference.
8. Consequences of Non-Payment:
Failure to make the full payment by the specified due date will result in the automatic cancellation of your order.
9. Order Responsibility Upon Collection:
Once the order is collected, I am not responsible for any issues or damages that may occur. The customer will have full responsibility for the order upon collection. Aftercare guidelines will be provided and can also be found on the website for reference.
10. Collection Date and Times:
Please provide the date you wish to collect your order. Once the order is confirmed and invoice is paid, you will not be able to change this date.
A 2-hour time slot will be allocated to you to collect your order. Arriving too early may result in asking you to wait as your order may not be boxed up ready. Failure to be on time may result in the order not being able to be collected until the following day – if you are late, I may not be here to hand over the order. It is your responsibility to arrive in the allocated time slot.
11. Delivery to Venue and Post-Setup:
For orders delivered to a venue, photographs will be taken at the point of setup. I am not responsible for the handling of the order after this point. I will collaborate with the venue to ensure proper aftercare; responsibility is relinquished upon leaving the venue.
12. Aftercare Guidelines:
Aftercare guidelines for product maintenance and handling will be provided and can be found on this website. It is the customer's responsibility to follow these guidelines for the best product experience.
Responsibility is on you, the customer, if any damages, accidents, or negligence occurs by you or a third party after it has left Bake-Em.
13. Changes and Cancellations:
Changes to orders and cancellations must be communicated within the specified timeframe, as outlined in the order confirmation. Refunds may not be granted for cancellations made after this period. Not all changes will be able to be accommodated.
14. Product Image:
Please note that no custom products will be made to look the same, and colour palettes may not be exact matches. Please send over any picture inspiration for the decoration and design. However, I do not copy or make replicas of other baker’s work. I work in my own style based off these images and ideas, and this will be communicated on enquiry.
If your cake contains figures or toppers made from fondant or sugar paste, I do not advise that they be eaten, due to the possible presence of dowels or other objects inside.
Multi-tiered Cakes contain dowels inside each tier. Please be aware of this when cutting and remove before consuming the cake.
15. Complaints:
In the rare circumstance of a complaint or issue with your order, it must be voiced within 48 hours of receiving your baked goods to allow for a fair assessment of the situation.
In event of any errors or omissions on your celebration cakes, these must be voiced upon collection so the relevant corrections can be made before handing the cake over. Once the cake has been handed over and left the premises, no further claims can be made.
If there is an issue or complaint regarding the quality of the item, at least half of the order must be returned to Bake-Em within 48 hours for a fair assessment of the nature of the situation and to be dealt with in a fast and efficient manner. I will only deal with the customer of whom placed the order with me.
16. Disclaimer:
While every effort is made to meet customer expectations, unforeseen circumstances may arise. I reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions or adjustments to orders if necessary.
By placing an order with us, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice.
